When I think about modern Japanease culture ,I realize modern Japanease music like J-pop.

The kind of Japanease music is as various as that kind of Europe and North America.

For example ,pop,rock,electro,hiphop,legar,punk,hardcore,metal,enka and the music which combined various music.

Itis often said that Japanease music is rough.Cirtainly ,these music whave a great influence on the music of Europe ,North America ,Carib and any other countries.

And, it is also said that Japanease music is the solid of the music which is made in America and any other countries.

But, I never believe these rumors.In America the genre of music is completely separeted so each genre are seldom mixed.

In Japan the genre of music isn't perfectly separeted and there is some artists who cannot categorize there genre so each genre are easily mixed.

This is only my opinion.Therefore much objection consists.

Generally, what is called popular music appeared after the World War Ⅱ.

In Japan the start of popular music is a little strange and very interesithing.

In America folksong is quite traditionnal

because before the World War Ⅱ traditional folksong which uses acoustic guitars and acoustic bass are exists.

And, after the appearence of the beatles most of popular folksong singers like Bob Dylan use these musical instrument and drums,

and eventually what is called band makes a play.

But, in Japan, before the war there is no culture of guitars so Japanease folksong which has a great influence on American folksong like Peter,Paul and Mary

suddenly occered.

Then it would continue to develop their own folk songs to Japan.

Essential presence on the music scene in Japan talk about the YMO.

YMO was debuted in 1978, and there is said to represent the techno-pop genre, rating it high in the world.

the song "RYDEEN"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk6o4GWFIV8) is their representative song and which is known by many people and very famous.

The man who didn't know this song seems to know this song on TV or radio.

YMO means Yellow Magic Orchestra.

Once, the leader of YMO, Hosono Haruomi held up Yellow magic as his musical concept.

This is comparison between white magic (symbol of white and good) or black magic (symobol of black and evil) and Yellow magic (as a symbol of yellow).

They have very large effects on of course music and fashion.

For example, it is said that their song "U・Ｔ"was based trance-techno, and thir song "RIOT IN LAGOS"

was based hiphop.

Also their fashion is very characteristic.

their hair is very short and their sideburns is cut.this hair style is called "techno cut".Now famous comedian Kasuga from Audrey is techno cut.

Do you know Komuro Tetsuya?

He is Japanease famous music producer, lylicists, composer, orchestrator, keyboardist, synthesist, sythesizer programer.

He mainly belongs to "TM Network"and "globe".

He has so many well-selled songs such as "My Revolution", "Get Wild"and so on.

He produce so many artists like "Mizuki Arisa","Ryouko Shinohara","trf","Tomomi Kahara","Namie Amuro","Ami Suzuki" and so on.

He is so to speak musical genius, but his music had not sold well since 2000.

So his income had dicreased very rapidly,maybe he want to keep his every day life, this spring he arrested because of his fraud.

He was sentenced 3 years imprisonment and 5 years probation.

Then I introduce some my favorite artists.

Thee michelle gun elephant is Japanease rock band and it gave a great influence on any other artists

such as Japanease popular rock band "ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION", "9mm Parabellum Bullet"in Japan.

And the name of these two bands mimiced the style of its name which three English words are lined up.

They are often called TMGE or michelle and they are mainly affected by garage rock, punk rock and pub rock.

"Cutting" which is one of the way of playing by the guitar of this band Abe futoshi is beyond Japanease ability and makes sound like growl and facinate our mind.

What I was most impressed by is the last of their last live "LAST HEAVEN TOUR" at Makuhari Messe.

Their first single is World's end. This is great song.If you have interest, I want you to listen to this song.

And their last song at their last live is World's end.

It rarely happened that their debut single is suitable for their real last song.

It is so great that the very last song played in the same members is correspond with their first songs which is thir orgin.

I love their music.

Sakanakushon is Japanease pop and electronica band.

The name of this band is the combination of "Sakana" which means fish in Japanease and action.

Main member of this band born in Hokkaido.

Once they worked some livehouse in Sapporo and often practiced the studio which I also practice.

Every year Rising Sun Rock Festival is held at Ishikari, and they were played because of recommended by Public in Rising Sun Rock Feestival 2006 in EZO.

After the act of this event they start to play in Tokyo.

Their feature of sound is of course keyboard. Keyboard makes their world fantastic.

Their sound is just true the thing I told at first "the genre of music isn't perfectly separeted and there is some artists who cannot categorize there genre so each genre are easily mixed.".

Last,I introduce to you Japanease folk song and new music artist Inoue Yousui.

In japan every one know him and his represantative songs "Shounenjidai"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqUA_UQsKE4), "Kazari jya nainoyo namidaha","Asia inocence" are also known very well.

His music and his way of sing are very delicate and sentimental ,and it has moved so many people for about forty years.
